The Zimbabwean population in Britain has been changing rapidly for two reasons, both of which mean that the 2001 figures are almost certainly substantially out of date. The 2001 UK Census registered 49,000 Zimbabwean-born people living in the UK,[1]. The Zimbabwean population in the UK stood at 21,427 in 1991.[1]
