
Susanne Bier (born April 15, 1960 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is a Danish producer, director and writer.
Susanne Bier studied arts at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and architecture at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. In 1987 she graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in Copenhagen.
She is recognized as one of the most influential of her kind in Denmark. Her 2006 movie After the Wedding was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
