Scott Richard Grimes (born July 9, 1971) is an American actor and musician. Some of his most prominent roles are his appearances in the Critters film series, in Band of Brothers as Technical Sergeant Donald Malarkey, Party of Five as Will McCorkle, ER as Dr. Archie Morris and the animated sitcom American Dad! voicing Steve Smith.

Biography

Grimes was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, the son of Pam and Rick Grimes. He lived in adjacent Dracut, Massachusetts for much of his youth, and attended Dracut schools.[1] His sister, Heather Grimes, is also an actress. He is the uncle of Camryn Grimes, who is best known for her role as "Cassie Newman" on The Young and the Restless.

In 1988, he appeared on Super Password with Bert Convy, Dwayne Hickman, Connie Stevens, and her daughter Tricia Leigh Fisher.[2] He is also known for his 1987 recurring role on Who's the Boss as Alyssa Milano's character's love-interest, Chad McCann. He can be seen currently on the NBC prime time show ER playing Dr. Archie Morris. Grimes appeared on Richard Carpenter's solo album, "Time" in 1987 on a song entitled "That's What I Believe."

In 1989, Grimes released a self-titled pop music album on the A&M Records label, which was produced by Richard Carpenter, and included covers of John Farnham's You're The Voice and Carole King's You've Got a Friend, as well as several original songs. He more recently released an album entitled, Livin On The Run in 2005 (Velocity Entertainment INC). and had a Top 20 hit on the Billboard magazine adult contemporary charts in April 2005 called, "Sunset Blvd". It was a song he co-wrote with his friend, Dave Harris, who is an American radio disc jockey on Retro Rewind.

In 1999, he appeared as Brian 'Birdie' Burns in the hockey film Mystery, Alaska. In 2005, Grimes began working on the animated sitcom, American Dad!, in which he voices the role of Steve Smith.
