Emma Jane Barton (Born 1978 in Portsmouth, England)[1] is an English actress. She played Honey Mitchell in EastEnders from November 2005 to September 2008.
She was taught drama by Mayfield School's (Portsmouth) teacher Gary Appleton.
Before her role in EastEnders, Emma appeared in Spooks and trod the boards in over sixteen plays including Grease, Loveshack and Thoroughly Modern Millie. In 2004, she also appeared in a Lambrini television commercial where she sprays perfume down her trousers.[2]
Barton attended Horndean Community School in Hampshire from 1989 to 1993, and then trained at the Guildford School of Acting and Graduated in 1998. Barton is currently dating former Eastenders actor Joel Beckett.(Jake Moon)
It was announced on 19 April 2008 that Emma will leave EastEnders in the summer of 2008.[3]
On the 14th November 2008 Barton sang live for Children in Need in the studio.
Since leaving her only future project is to star in the titular role of "Snow White" in a pantomime from December 2008-January 2009.
