Dublin South Central (Dáil Éireann constituency)
Dublin South Central is a constituency represented in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish parliament or Oireachtas. It is located in the heart of the capital city of Dublin. The constituency has an electorate of 86,710 and at present is served by 5 Teachtaí Dála (TDs). The method of election is the Single Transferable Vote.
The district comprises Harold's Cross west, Drimnagh, Walkinstown, Crumlin, Inchicore , Ballyfermot, Kimmage and Terenure west.
In 2004 the constituency boundary was extended to the north side of the Liffey, taking in Islandbridge.
