Dorothy Abbott (December 16, 1920 – December 15, 1968) was an American film actress.

Abbott appeared in many films between the 1940s and 1960s, as an extra. She was married to Rudy Diaz when he was a police officer. In Las Vegas she was a showgirl (known as the girl with the golden arm) at the Flamingo Hotel. She also appeared in Dragnet playing Seargeant Joe Friday's girlfriend. She also modeled and sold real estate when the roles were far and few between.
In a fit of depression over the break-up of her marriage, she committed suicide in Los Angeles on December 15, 1968, a day before her 48th birthday.
