Paperboard is a paper-based material. It is often used for folding cartons, set-up boxes, carded packaging, etc. Cardboard is made out of stiff paperboard. Cardboard boxes are made out of corrugated filler board, not cardboard.
Corrugated fiberboard

Corrugated fiberboard is a combination of bodies, usually two flat bodies and one inner intestined corrugated medium. It is often used for making corrugated boxes for shipping products.
