Bug is a 1975 horror film starring Bradford Dillman, Joanna Miles and Richard Gilliland. It was directed by Jeannot Szwarc and written by William Castle and Thomas Page. It was based on Page's 1973 novel The Hephaestus Plague (ISBN 0-399-11184-0), and concerns a highly intelligent species of insect which can make fire by rubbing its cerci together.
An earthquake releases a large number of cockroaches that have the ability to set fire.
